Our services

We strive to provide a stress free experience from conception to completion. Here are a few examples of how we work with you in mind:

  1. We spend a lot of time with you at the beginning of the process - what do you want?, what do you need?, how do you want to live in the house? We find this saves you a lot of time in the long run... and saves you money by avoiding costly changes.
  2. Building can be confusing. Let us help you find out if there are any limits or restrictions with your site at the beginning of the design process... no expensive surprises.
  3. Our plans are very detailed so that your builder will love them... all the information he needs is at his fingertips to price your job as accurately as possible.

So there’s a few examples of how we help our clients ENJOY the building process.

Sustainable Design

There are many components which make up the overall concept of sustainable design.

A comfortable home - will be positioned on the site correctly to collect heat through passive solar gain. Use of increased insulation, double glazing and thermal mass.

The house will not be too hot or too cold and will take a minimal amount of energy to keep it at a comfortable level.

An environmentally friendly home - will have low impact on the environment. Use of recycled or sustainable materials, capturing and storing rainwater. Solar energy can be used to heat water which saves power for the house. Waste can be reduced through storing and using storm water and recycling grey water.

Ideally the home will be producing minimal waste and consuming low energy levels.

Components can include:

  • Passive solar gain
  • Thermal mass in walls and floors
  • Shading by louvres, blinds and overhangs
  • Recycled materials
  • Collection and storage of storm water, filtered and used in the house
  • Septic tank and use of grey water in gardens and toilets
  • Increased insulation
  • Solar panels for water heating
  • Passive ventilation and heating
  • Sustainable timber
  • Energy efficient lighting
  • Photovoltaic cells for electricity generation.
  • Green and vegetated roofs
  • Materials with minimal or no toxic gas emissions
